For those of you who didn't come out last night, you missed an AWESOME time. I was late getting there but every second I can hear Blindcat and Mamacat perform is amazing to me. The bugs were a bit crazy but what can you expect when you're along the river on a steamy Ozarks night, right?
When Blindcat sings House of the Rising Sun, it always gives me goosebumps. I fell in love with him and his music the first time I heard him perform the song.
I want to thank their booking agent, Waya, for setting up the gig and to the good folks at Current River Campground for hosting us last night. If you're in the Ozarks and want a great place to pitch a tent or park an RV, Current River Campground is the place!
Till next time
Blessings!

Current River Campground
I can't think of a better way to spend a summer Saturday night than at a riverfront venue listening to great music. That's what is in store for us this Saturday, June 25th. Blindcat and Mamacat will be performing at the Current River Campground - behind The Float Stream Restaurant - in Van Buren MO.
I'm going to try and make it and I hope you will too!

Blindcat at the Smithsonian
The pinnacle of my 47 year music career took place May 21-22 in Washington, D.C. when I performed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in the Kogod Courtyard for the V.S.A.

May 22nd, I was honored to perform for our wounded American soldiers at Walter Reed Army Hospital, where emotions ran high.
My wife Sandie and myself were also thrilled to visit The White House, Lincoln Memorial, The Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial along with other historical sites. The Washington trip was an experience never to be forgotten, and and the irony did not escape me as I realized I was actually performing songs I had written on the Current River for folks at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., just a few blocks from the White House. I was thrilled and honored to musically represent Missouri and Shannon County at our Nation’s Capitol.

My special thanks to Audrey and Sarah who were the Sign Language Interpreters. They may be seen signing in the video clips.
I hope this underscores the clear and undeniable fact that each and everyone of us may overcome any obstacle in our path with perservance and willingness to achieve our goal. In my view, the term “disabled” should never be used, for it’s all about attitude.
