Live at the Dry Bean

The music was HOT at the Dry Bean in Eminence MO Saturday as people came together for a worthy cause.

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who came out to show your support! You'll never know how very much your generosity was appreciated.

$268 was raised towards the $1000 needed to help fund glasses for the visually impaired students. These children need to have their vision corrected NOW, enabling them to be better readers, better students and better adults. This truly is a case of Children Are Our Future.

Imagine not being able to see the words on a blackboard clearly, no matter how close your desk is to the front of the room. The front row only holds so many students. From what I remember in grade school, those desks were reserved for the students teachers needed to keep a closer eye on.. not for ones who needed to see what she was writing on the blackboard.  If there really is such a thing as No Child Left Behind, where does that leave children who can't see what they need to - preventing them from being 'left behind' due to poor grade levels. It isn't their fault!

If you missed the benefit on Saturday, your contributions towards this program are still welcome. We'll get you set up with a way you can donate.  Email:   blindcat@centurytel.net

Another bonus is the Kosmo Kings (out of West Plains MO), one of the HOT bands at the event (and who graciously provided sound equipment) did some recording that night and will be putting together a CD. Sales will go towards the Benefit proceeds as well.

Blues and Blessings
